Golf Shoes and Spikes

Golf Shoes are obviously a personal choice based on fit, comfort and style. Today most golf shoes are pretty high quality and have waterproof warranties.

Depending on the climate you play in, the waterproofing warranty may be more important and you should look for the longest possible warranty.

Spikes are another important consideration. With more and more golf courses banning traditional metal spikes you are probably better off with soft spikes, and by far the best are Black Widow spikes. They cushion your step and are designed well for the twisting motion, as they "corkscrew" into the ground. Many golf shoes are being sold with these spikes already installed, if not get them right away, especially if you play on grass that is damp at all like first thing in the morning.
